Abstract

Kajian ini mengkaji kepentingan pemilihan buku cerita dalam pendidikan awal kanak-kanak melalui analisis literatur yang menyeluruh. Ia mengetengahkan peranan penting buku cerita dalam merangsang perkembangan kognitif, sosial, dan emosi kanak-kanak. Buku cerita bukan sekadar alat untuk mengembangkan kemahiran bahasa, tetapi juga berperanan dalam mengasah pemikiran kritis dan membina empati. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa interaksi dengan buku cerita secara konsisten dapat meningkatkan keupayaan bahasa kanak-kanak dengan ketara. Selain itu, buku cerita membantu kanak-kanak menganalisis dan memahami pelbagai situasi dengan lebih baik, serta memupuk empati dengan membolehkan mereka menghayati perspektif orang lain. Penemuan ini memberi panduan berharga kepada pendidik dan ibu bapa dalam usaha mengintegrasikan buku cerita ke dalam amalan pembelajaran. Pemilihan buku cerita yang tepat dapat mewujudkan persekitaran pembelajaran yang kondusif, meningkatkan minat membaca, dan menyokong perkembangan holistik kanak-kanak. Kesimpulannya, pemilihan buku cerita yang berkualiti merupakan aspek kritikal dalam pendidikan awal kanak-kanak yang perlu diberi perhatian serius.
